Melanie McFarland Seattle Post-Intelligencer Set the bar very low and you may appreciate its stupidity. Mar 4, 2019 Full Review Joyce Millman Boston Phoenix Wyle's geeky charm and the story's glorification of book learnin' are enough to keep the good vibes aloft. Jul 2, 2018 Full Review Roger Catlin Hartford Courant If this poor stab at Indiana Jones is the best material [Noah Wyle] can find, he's better off at the hospital. Jan 2, 2018 Full Review MaryAnn Johanson Flick Filosopher It's all totally lighthearted and tongue-in-cheek and never dares to be serious about anything, which is refreshing. Nov 30, 2006 Full Review David Cornelius eFilmCritic.com It's a fun cheesy cable TV flick, a slice of winking B movie giddiness that charms us into smiling through all the nonsense. Rated: 3/5 Aug 27, 2005 Full Review Read all reviews

Matthew D Made for television Indiana Jones with fun history and mythology for nerds. Noah Wyle is the main charmer and appeal. Noah Wyle is still charming and funny, but these Librarian movies all feature horrible dialogue, cheesy jokes, hideously dated CGI, cheap obvious green screen, and awful cinematography. Everyone looks so bored besides Wyle and feels like they're phoning it in for a paycheck. I used to love this as a child, and now all I see is the cheap sets and effects that are so distracting. The Librarian: Quest for the Spear remains quaint and watchable, but nowhere near as amazing as I remembered. Kelly Hu is so pretty and they really wasted Kyle MacLachlan. Bob Newhart looks and sounds like he was near death, but he can be funny. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/21/24 Full Review steve d Whimsical and a whole lot of fun. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member Charming, fun movie that does a good job at its primary goal: entertainment Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review Audience Member The storytelling is the best part of the adventure, CGs actions really needs some master's touch to be great Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review Audience Member Great story premise. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/08/23 Full Review Audience Member I did not watch this movie when it came out in 2004. I just finished watching The Librarians tv show and discovered there were 3 movie series before the show came out. This movie gives a good insight into Flynn's backstory and how he became a librarian. I really enjoyed this movie, very glad to have watched this. Just so you know this is not a rip off of Indiana Jones, this is a completely different story, keep that in mind. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Read all reviews
