Narratively unwieldy and tonally jumbled, Maps to the Stars still has enough bite to satisfy David Cronenberg fans in need of a coolly acidic fix.
Audience Member I turned this off half way through. I like to think people actually aren’t that contemptible. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 09/29/24 Full Review David W Maps to the Stars is the kind of weird, quirky production that Cronenberg has grown into in the most recent part of his career. It's enjoyable and features more refined and subtle forms of the body horror that he is known for. I would definitely watch this again. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/24/24 Full Review Alec B Cronenberg's sensibilities improve upon what could easily have been more obvious satirical elements. Moore's performance is impressive, a lot of actor's have made themselves look physically ugly but few would be willing to go as far emotionally as she does here. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 12/13/23 Full Review Melissa B Horrible. Depressing movie Rated 1 out of 5 stars 06/03/23 Full Review Eithan D pretty good movie though somehow it doesn't elevated to really touching me. Cronenberg even if more subdued still looks at disturbing aspects of our lives but this movie falls short for me Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/24/23 Full Review colin m Confusing unenjoyable movie. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Read all reviews
