The Oranges (2011) | Rotten Tomatoes
- ️Fri Oct 05 2012
Despite the efforts of its accomplished cast, The Oranges suffers from a mediocre script that fails to deliver well-rounded characters, dramatic tension, or sufficient laughs.
Lisa M It had so much potential to be better, but alas it felt like someone just wanted the plot idea with no substance. Taboo relationship hated by everyone!! Yet the movie gives no reason for people to not see these relationships as having potential to be something more, or real, despite it not being cultivated in an appropriate way. They could have easily shown a development of mutual and platonic understanding, humor, friendship- before realizing it could be more- but it didn't. And the ending didn't make sense. Nina, while running away from everything ever, you could see character development happening and some sort of effort, then to just leave the ending as is was wild to me. I think it's a good watch, but god it could have been so much better. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 12/15/24 Full Review Audience Member What a terrible movie. All that talent just wasted. It turned out to be a real-life movie Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/23/24 Full Review Bahad j In my opinion, I felt that the movie was very good, behind all this, the filmmaker was able to come up with the right festive details to congratulate the members of the behind-the-scenes team.
