Critics Consensus

In spite of its wonderfully unusual premise and talented cast, Upside Down fails to offer much in the way of compelling drama to anchor its admittedly dazzling visuals.

Christine B It started out *strong* and then Just. Got. Boring. It was hard to really care about any of the characters. Too bad, it was an interesting idea, but writers in Hollywood just couldn't carry it past the first 15 minutes. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 03/08/25 Full Review Audience Member This is 12 years old and I’ve only just heard of it and it definitely seems like I wasn’t missing out on anything. What a boring and pointless film. The science is confusing about being upside down and the story is very slow and just irritatingly boring.i love Kirsten dunst so kept the full film on but couldn’t keep concentrated as nothing was happening. I don’t even know what happened in the film,2 people want to be together and end up being together, with very little happening inbetween. Avoid at all costs Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/20/25 Full Review Carlos T Filme: Mundos Opostos Assistido: 24-12-24 Elenco: @officialjimsturgess @kirstendunst Timothy Spall, James Kidnie, Blu Mankuma Modelo: #ficção #fantasia #romance Duração: 2h Ano: 2012 Minha opinião: um romance gostoso de assistir onde temos a Kirsten de Homem-Aranha. Vale apena assistir? sim Nota: 7 Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 12/26/24 Full Review Aleksandra Š I really liked it, strange, unusual, really different, not pop. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/01/24 Full Review Maria H It was a masterpiece, in my opinion, quite beautiful. I might not know much about science, or the laws of physics, but this movie gracefully captures and expresses the “what could be” if it was possible to have a world mirrored by gravity, and each one selfishly forcing you to stay away from the other. But love conquers everything. I hope it was a delight for the actors to make, as it was for me to enter such magical imagination. Exquisite work. <3 Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/12/24 Full Review Koi P If you can make it past the long narrative introduction, you can make it through the movie. Bob is the most interesting and likeable character. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 06/03/24 Full Review Read all reviews
