Francis Amuzu makes switch to Brazilian Grêmio | RSC Anderlecht

  • ️Thu Oct 02 2025

Francis Amuzu is joining Brazilian side Grêmio Foot-Ball Porto Alegrense on a permanent transfer. ‘Cis’ is leaving RSC Anderlecht after 10 years and no less than 251 games for the first team.

Francis Amuzu started his adventure at RSC Anderlecht in 2015 at the U16 of our youth academy. He immediately made his mark with his quick legs and generous smile. He quickly advanced to the first team to make his debut in December 2017 at the age of 18 in the league game against KAS Eupen. He immediately scored his first goal. Tears of happiness followed.

That Francis was embarking on a wonderful career at the club of his heart was obvious. Yet that the winger would go on and round the 250-match mark for RSC Anderlecht, he could not have dreamed himself. It only makes his story at Sporting more unique.

After 10 years, it is now time for ‘Cis’ to take up a new challenge. A new adventure, at Grêmio Foot-Ball Porto Alegrense in the Brazilian Série A, awaits.

Francis Amuzu: "I am immensely proud to have played for Anderlecht for seven seasons. I have not only been able to develop here as a player, but also forged friendships for life. I am hugely grateful to the club, my teammates, staff and supporters for all the support and I will continue to follow Anderlecht closely."

Go get'em, Cis.
