Strictly Ballroom star joins Home and Away

'Strictly Ballroom' star Tara Morice has joined 'Home and Away' as the mother of two of the characters.

Holy Soap reports that the actress, best known for her role as Fran in Baz Luhrmann's 1992 film 'Strictly Ballroom', will play Joanna, the mother of Bianca (Lisa Gormley) and April Scott (Rhiannon Fish).

The website says she will arrive in Summer Bay from Europe for Bianca's wedding to Vittorio (Richard Brancatisano).

It will be some time before the episodes are shown in Ireland and the UK, as Morice has just joined the cast in Australia.
