DAVIDSON, N.C. —  Stephen Curry scored 34 points and became Davidson’s all-time leading scorer in the Wildcats’ 99-56 rout of Georgia Southern on Saturday.

Curry shot 11-of-19 from the field, including 5-of-9 from 3-point range in another milestone for the remarkable junior as Davidson (24-6, 17-2) clinched the top seed for next week’s Southern Conference tournament.

With former top scorer John Gerdy watching from a second-row seat at midcourt, Curry picked up a loose ball and drilled a foul-line jumper with 16:16 left to give him 30 points and the school record.

Gerdy joined in a standing ovation that lasted until Curry committed a foul on Georgia Southern’s ensuing possession. With 2,488 points, Curry was honored at midcourt after his 28th game of 30 or more points.

Ben Drayton scored 18 points for the Eagles (8-20, 5-14) in their 10th loss in 11 games.
