  When Zam Wesell fled after trying to assassinate Padmé Amidala, Anakin Skywalker commandeered a flashy yellow airspeeder to chase the bounty hunter across the skylanes of Coruscant. The open-air cockpit and oversized engines made the XJ-6 an ideal pursuit vehicle, and the gonzo color struck Anakin’s fancy. After all, nothing in the Jedi code forbade looking flashy while defending the Republic.
