Mohamad Ridzuan’s breakthrough came when he tore through the finish line to claim Malaysia’s first gold medal in the 2016 Rio Paralympic Games. Since then the young athlete, who has cerebral palsy, has won numerous gold medals and set several records. He cemented his status as one of the country’s sporting greats by winning the 2018 Best Asian Male Para Athlete award.
