The Mayor works in concert with business and industrial leaders and economic specialists to create a beneficial atmosphere that will foster economic development of our community. Under the Mayor's leadership Taunton is streamlining regulations to increase job growth.

The Mayor is responsible for the day-to-day operations of municipal government including public safety, local elections, local roads and sidewalks, and the operations of City Hall. Working with the City's Chief Financial Officer and Budget Director, the Mayor is also responsible for the creation of and the administration of the municipal budget.
