Ivanka Trump on her New Label and Dressing for Success

From a very young age, it was clear that Ivanka Trump inherited both brains and beauty from her business magnate father, Donald Trump, and her fashion model mother, Ivana Trump. Ivanka exudes poise, dignity, and intelligence that are well beyond her years, setting her apart from all those tabloid-hungry heiresses and making her a quintessential (and inspiring) role model. I first met the model-turned-businesswoman in 2007 at the annual Costume Institute Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and was struck by not only her statuesque figure, but also her eloquence and very classic ladylike fashion sense. Now, aside from being a bestselling author, philanthropist, co-star and jewelry designer, this Wharton School of Business alumnus is debuting her ready-to-wear collection this spring. Last week, Ivanka held her very first fashion show at Manhattan's Lord & Taylor to celebrate her timeless and cosmopolitan designs. Her feminine looks speak to a girl (not unlike Ivanka herself) who knows that it doesn't take chasing trends to look good.
