Movie Website Reviews for the Weekend of March 6th, 2009 - The Numbers
- ️Sun Mar 08 2009
March 8, 2009
There are sixteen films on this week's list, but there are several films without any websites (or sites not in English). At the top of the list, there are only a few sites that rate above average, while the best of the best is 13B's - Official Site.
12 - Official Site
Dhoondte Reh Jaoge - Official Site
Everlasting Moments - No Official Site
Explicit Ills - Official Site
Fados - Official Site
The Green Chain - Official Site
The Horsemen - Official Site
One Week - Official Site
Phoebe in Wonderland - No Official Site
Reunion - No Official Site
Saving Luna - Official Site
Sherman's Way - Official Site
Shuttle - No Official Site
Tokyo! - Official Site
Watchmen - Official Site
Just the synopsis, image gallery, and the trailer. And there's not even a great sense of style to make up for the lack of content.
13B - Official Site
A big site with lots to explore. Most of the usual information about the movie is here (synopsis, cast & crew list, trailer), and there are a lot of extras. This includes information on the number 13, music video, ghost sightings, etc. There are even two games you can play. Add in the apartment you can explore, and this is one of the best sites on this week's list. And with a high quantity and low quality week, it is the winner of the Unlucky Weekly Website Award.
All the usual features are here (synopsis, bios, images, and trailer), as well as several clips. Typical for a Bollywood film.
Nothing to review.
Most of the usual features are here (there's no image gallery). Also, there are notes from the director and the producer, and information on the Poor People’s Economic Human Right’s Campaign.
The site is available in two languages: Portuguese and Spanish. I speak neither of those.
This site has the synopsis, cat & crew bios, plenty of images, and trailers for each of the seven main characters. A very strong site for a limited release.
Just the synopsis, images, and trailer. Watching the trailer,
Content here includes the synopsis, director's statement, cast & crew bios, images, trailer, as well as several clips, including interviews and stuff like that, which is usually not found on movie websites. Overall it is effective.
Strangely, a film with this much star power has no official site.
Nothing to review.
A good site for a documentary with a lot of information. A huge amount of information.
Not a bad site for a limited release with all of the usual features, plus several clips for the cast bios. However, The background music is far too repetitive. I shouldn't get sick of the music in the short time it takes to write these blurbs.
The closest thing they have to an official site is a page on the distributor's site.
No real changes since the last time it was on this list.
A huge site with most of the usual information (synopsis, bios, images, and trailer). There are character bios, not cast and crew bios, and these include video montages and audio clips. There is a production blog, and side sites on the music, merchandize, the video game, etc. It feels like the site was designed to sell things to hardcore fans of the comic book the movie is based on, and not to convince mainstream audiences to go and see the movie.
